Floral Hibiscus, lavender, and dried cranberry aromas are met with a Redwood forest floor and graphite nose. On the palate, juicy cherry fruit carries a long and savory finish that evolves beautifully.
Tondre Grapefield and Escolle Vineyard
Harvested between 9/5 and 9/20 of 2018, the grapes were sorted three times before being allowed to spontaneously ferment in small batches for around 2.5 weeks. The grapes were hand punched down daily to gently extract color, tannin, and flavors. After fermenting, the grapes were gently basket pressed and racked to French Oak barrels to age. The wine was blended and racked back to barrel in the summer of 2019, and bottled in Jan 2020 (total of 16 months in barrel).
