2018 Le Mistral Whole Cluster Grenache
10 months in neutral French oak 500L puncheons
15 days native fermentation in open top tank
Le Mistral Whole Cluster Grenache is produced by fermenting intact clusters of grapes with minimal intervention. The results speak for themselves – exhibiting notes of mulberry, wild blackberry, and dried tobacco. The palate has fresh baking spice followed by silky tannins - reminding us of childhood memories of picking wild berries on a summer afternoon.
Mission Ranch Vineyard
Grapes were hand harvested from Mission Ranch Vineyard on 10/7/18. Grapes were cluster sorted and placed into 1.5 ton T-Bins for native fermentation, lasting 15 days. Once dry, the grapes were lightly pressed the wine was racked to neutral French oak 500L puncheons to age for 10 months before being bottled at the end of Aug, 2019.
