Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The Le Mistral Viognier is aromatic and delicate, soft and smooth, vibrant and memorable. The bouquet is floral and complex; honeysuckle and rose petal dominate with lighter notes of lemon blossom and wildflowers. With a silky texture and a long, warming finish, this Viognier is best enjoyed chilled with good friends.

Production Notes
Our 2018 Viognier was picked 9/20 and arrived at Folktale before being lightly pressed. We let the juice settle in tank for 48 hours before racking 1/3 to Stainless Steel and 2/3 to neutral French oak barrels for fermentation. The Stainless Steel portion retains nice freshness and aromas, and the barrel fermented and aged portion adds creaminess and texture to the finished wine. The individual lots fermented and aged in their vessels for approx. 6 months before being blended and bottled in July, 2019.
