2018 Folktale Mission Ranch Vineyard Pinot Noir
10 months in neutral French Oak
This Pinot showcases the unique minerality and earthiness of Mission Ranch Vineyard’s western canyon orientation. It presents dark red fruit with notes of violets, spice, and wet stone along with bright acid and a full bodied texture.
Mission Ranch Vineyard
Grapes were harvested 9/25 from Mission Ranch Vineyard early in the morning. The grapes were sorted and placed in to tank for fermentation. Pump overs took place daily during the fermentation process, taking 14 days. After fermentation, the grapes were lightly pressed and the wine was racked to neutral French Oak barrels for 8 months until bottling in late July, 2019.
