Tasting Notes
This Pinot Noir is a crescendo- it begins softly with aromas of blueberry, vanilla, and black cherry before exploding across your palate with gorgeous, earthy flavors of cedar, graphite, and currant. The zippy acidity creates a complex finish that doesn’t linger too long. Enjoy decanted on its own, or paired with your favorite pork and chicken dishes.

Mission Ranch, Arroyo Seco
Production Notes
Grapes for the 2017 Estate Pinot Noir came from Mission Ranch Vineyard in Arroyo Seco, comprising clones 777, 2A and 459. Grapes were harvested between 9/1 and 9/13 at night to keep the grapes as cold as possible. Once they arrived at the winery, they were quickly weighed before being de-stemmed and sorted twice, leaving just whole berries. From there, the grapes were placed inside a stainless steel fermenting tank and cold soaked for 48 hours to extract color and some aromas. The grapes were inoculated with RC212 yeast and fermented on average for 12 days before the free run wine was sent to a new tank, and the skins were lightly pressed to another. Both were racked to neutral French Oak barrels and aged in barrel for 7 months, undergoing Malolactic fermentation. The wine was blended just before bottling on 4/26.
