Dark fruit with layers of wisteria, anise, red pepper, wood, and cacao nibs. The palate is balanced delicately by more lively and fresh red fruit along with mocha, toasted coffee, vanilla and baking and tarragon spice. Tightly wound, this wine will open beautifully in front of a fire or in the company of a nice cut of meat.

The White Witch is our name for the westerly wind that blows each afternoon through our vines in Monterey. This is nature using it's magic for good, producing the beautiful layers and rich textures of this Rhône-style blend. A full mouthfeel of pear, dried apricot, glazed peaches, fresh almond, graham cracker, marzipan, kumquat, fresh thyme, hay, green tea, wet stone, and candied pecans. The richness and weight are balanced with bright acid and minerality to pair well with a wide range of foods, from grilled vegetables and seafood to white sauces and meats.
Perched on the east-facing terraces of the Santa Lucia mountain range located just south of the Monterey Bay, the Santa Lucia Highlands are world renowned for producing some of California’s best Pinot Noir. Our cool-climate Pinot Noir is fresh and floral, with delicate rose petals, baking spice and minerality and a full-bodied texture.
Escolle Vineyard has quickly gained esteem since being planted in 2008 in the Santa Lucia Highlands. We hand harvested clones 2A and 777 and natively fermented them in small batches. This site is true to the Santa Lucia Highlands character, producing fresh red fruit, black tea and spice aromas with a dark, broody nature and fine wood tannins on the palate.
Whole Cluster fermentation has been a staple of old-world winemaking for generations. It is with this tradition and spirit that we decided to allow our grapes to natively ferment while remaining on the cluster, producing fresh Hibiscus, lavender and a Redwood forest floor nose and a juicy and lengthy savory finish.
Brosseau Vineyard in the Chalone AVA has a remarkable combination of limestone soils, weather patterns and organic farming that produces intense minerality, texture and richness in its wines. The Grenache was natively fermented then aged in 2 neutral 500L French oak puncheons for 16 months. The wine opens with wild cherry and baking spice and has an incredibly rich mouthfeel that lingers.
This Grenache is a gorgeous ruby color in the glass and is aromatic with bright notes of wild boysenberry fruit, floral hibiscus, and rich notes of black cherry. These are followed by notes of white pepper, plum compote, and blueberry. Lively acidity and tannin round out the palate for a deliciously balanced and lingering finish. With juicy red fruit qualities and a full bodied texture, this wine is bolder than a Pinot and more delicate than a Cabernet; perfect for any occasion.
This cuvée of Grenache and Syrah is our flagship wine, paying respect to our history while celebrating our Monterey terroir. The light, playful flavors of mineral and bright, red fruit of Grenache dance on big, earthy, spice notes of Syrah. This is a wine of substance that harmonizes to the point of singing in the glass.
Planted in the 70's, the historic Massa Estate in Carmel Valley enjoys a micro-climate that is well-suited for Cabernet Sauvignon. Vines grow wild in small blocks and have been farmed organically from inception. The Cab is big and complex, with flavors of cherry cola, plum, baking spice, cassis, and dark chocolate.

The Syrah was natively fermented in bins and 500L puncheons, then aged for 16 months in 13% new French oak (87% neutral oak) producing a wine that has rich, dark flavors and can be enjoyed for years to come.
Our boldest wine yet, this smoky, savory flavor bomb is loaded with decadent layers – cured meat and white pepper, blueberry and plum, cedar and sweet tobacco. This wine will shine in 2-3 years- consider keeping it in your cellar to age till then.
THE HOUND is a classic blend of Bordeaux varietals, combining 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec, 11% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot, and 9% Cabernet Franc sourced 89% from Massa Estate Vineyard and 11% from Cedar Lane Vineyard . The not-so-little brother of our Reserve Bordeaux blend, this wine is complex and elegant with aromas and flavors of blueberry, mocha, floral lilac, frisée, dusty vanilla, brown sugar, creme de cassis, pencil lead, cedar wood, and hibiscus. The texture offers nice richness with round and full tannins. The Hound is a beautiful, bold wine that will benefit from aging.
